New Jerseys

Spitfires unveiled their new uniforms today. Ryan Ellis, left, is wearing the white home Jersey and Taylor Hall is wearing the Red away jersey.

They decided it was time for a change. I think they are okay, I might have to get a little more used to it.

Anyways, merchandise goes on sale next week at The Bay. Jerseys are $100, Touques are $20. Although Jerseys won't be for sale until they debut them at the new arena.

First game at the new arena? December 11th.

Read The Windsor Star article Here.

Summary of our great start

So, the Spitfires currently have a record of 17-1. That's pretty damn awesome if I say so myself. They went 6-0 before losing to Barrie. Since then, they have went on to win 11 straight. They are first overall in the OHL with 34 points, Guelph and Barrie are tied for second with 24 points. In the CHL, since the start of the season, the Spits are ranked #1.

Their last game was yesterday against John Tavares and the Oshawa Generals. The Spitfires won 7-2. Taylor Hall had 2 goals and an Assist while Ryan Ellis had a goal and an assist and was a plus 5. They both are leading the league in points, tied with 33 points in 18 games. Tavares of the Generals, who is expected to go in the top 2 in next year's draft in Montreal had one point and was a minus two. He is third in OHL scoring with 27 points in 17 games. Oshawa is in 7th place in the East with a 7-9-0-1 record for a total of 15 points.

On Thursday, they play Ottawa at home at 7:05 before a Road Trip in Missisauga and Erie on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Last time, Ottawa and Windsor played was October 15th and Windsor won 5-3. Greg Nemisz, a Calgary Flames prospect had 2 goals. Ottawa is 3rd in the east with a 10-8 record. Their leading scorer is Thomas Kiriakou with 18 points in 18 games.

Let's go Spits! I'll be back here again on Thursday for results from Thursdays game.

Welcome to The Barn

This is the my first blog. I am going to write about the Spitfires as often as I can get a chance even if I have no readers. I feel it's hard to get good information on what is happening around the OHL so I will try my best to write a little bit about the OHL, although mostly about the Spitfires.

I hope you enjoy.
